The Duskwhales
The Duskwhales
The Duskwhales are a three-piece indie rock band formed in Manassas, Virginia in 2010. Their sound is reminiscent of 60's groups such as The Beatles and The Doors through prominent use of keyboards and memorable vocal harmonies. While incorporating the best elements of their psychedelic roots, the young trio creates a sophisticated style of their own in both studio and live settings. They have shared the stage with national acts Car Seat Headrest, Diane Coffee, Little Green Cars, and Frankie Cosmos, as well as performed to packed audiences across the East Coast. The Duskwhales are currently working on a three part recording project with each band member as the primary songwriter.
Skyward Story
Skyward Story
Baltimore pop rock trio Skyward Story has an undeniable and captivating spirit. That spirit is easy to see in their genuine and dynamic performances and even easier to hear in their new, unmistakably catchy pop rock sound, borrowed from their pop punk roots. Finding this unique sound has just been a part of their journey in discovering their true identity. The upcoming release is an exciting, new page for Skyward Story, bringing their sound to the leading edge of today's trends and destined to turbocharge their fan base and reach countless new fans.

Formerly as 3PM, the group developed a large dedicated following through tireless grassroots efforts, selling over 25,000 copies of their album “Slow Me Down.” During their time on the Warped Tour, “Slow Me Down” peaked on the Billboard charts at #27 Top Rock Albums, #2 National Heatseekers, #18 Alternative and #19 Independent. Looking to the future, the members felt their time as 3PM had come to a close, and that they had evolved into something greater. Together, Brandon Millman (drummer) and Scott Montgomery (guitarist) turned to - what else - social media to add a new vocalist, finding Aaron O’Connor (lead vocals) on Twitter, ushering in this new era of Skyward Story

With many looking to see what they would do next, the band spent countless hours working on taking their music to the next level and emerged with a style all their own. Their writing attracted the attention of multi-platinum producer Matt Squire, who has produced breakout records for artists such as One Direction, Panic! at the Disco, Ariana Grande and Demi Lovato. Skyward Story and Squire worked together for a whole year and the group has emerged with an album destined for greatness.
The Ok-Ok's
The Ok-Ok's
The Ok-Ok’s are an indie rock band hailing from Lancaster, PA, featuring vocalist Sadie Swartz, guitarist Isaac Swartz, drummer Jordan Williamson, and bassist Andrew Sterner. The band’s original music explores various styles ranging from blues to punk, while still maintaining a signature sound, featuring catchy guitar riffs, ear-busting Bonham-style drums, and driving bass lines, topped off with a powerful, soulful female vocal.

Since its creation in 2013, the band has been making waves and catching reviewers’ ears. The Underground Lounge’s interviewer wrote, “The Ok-Ok’s are primed to be at the forefront of the next wave of great music,” and, “This is the youngest band we’ve sat down with [as a podcast feature artist]. They bring forth the energy of bands ten years their senior." Fly Magazine’s headline for its feature article on the band proclaims, “York’s The Ok-Ok’s are the New Class of Indie Rock” (The Fly Magazine, Dec. 2014).

The Ok-Ok’s are passionate about their live performances and the unique qualities of each musician that combine to create a dynamic experience. They focus on being genuine and enthusiastic in their delivery, rather than rehash overused antics. “They are one of the best bands in the area,” according to John Beck, manager of The Stage at New Grounds, where the band has been welcomed to play on many occasions.

This band takes every opportunity to play along the way, and puts heart into every performance, whether they are close to home in central Pennsylvania, or branching out into other areas like Baltimore, Philadelphia, and anywhere they are lead. In addition to traditional venues, the band performs in all kinds of places, including private parties, taverns, breweries, street fairs, and charity events.
