Paul Beraubran and Kreole Fan fan, voices from Haiti

Paul Beaubran with Kreole Fan fan. Voices from Haiti.

Join us for a musical journey into Haitian music and culture with Kreole Fanfan, a founding member of the Grammy winning band, Boukman Eksperyans, and Paul Beaubran, the talented, internationally acclaimed son of Theodore Beaubrun.

Paul continues the legacy of music plus activism and history begun by Kreole Fanfan and Theodore, his father during their time with Boukman Eksperyans. With his own unique sound, "Roots Blues," Paul weaves his impeccable guitar playing, rich vocals and storytelling skills in English, French and Creole to present a captivating cultural experience from the stage.

Kreole Fanfan himself an accomplished classical guitarist, creates music that rides the middle ground between American Jazz, Classical music and traditional Caribbean Folk music styles. For his contributions in composition and performance, he was awarded a certificate of appreciation by the Smithsonian National Institute and was nominated "Best Guitarist" by his peers at the Washington Area Music Association (WAMA).

Enjoy a music extravaganza that embodies organic Racine music intertwined with Classical music, Rock, Soul and Afro beat.- Jolly Papa, WOWD, 94.3 FM
