DuPont Brass
DuPont Brass
DuPont Brass is an eclectic, soulful, brass ensemble hailing from the D.C. Metropolitan Area. Originally composed of five music majors from Howard University trying to raise money for tuition during the Christmas season, DuPont Brass has now grown to a 9-piece ensemble consisting of brass and a rhythm section. Gaining popularity from playing at local Metro stations, DuPont Brass started out professionally playing for local weddings, banquets, and other private events. Thanks to the foundation laid in their earlier years, DuPont Brass has had the opportunity to perform in conjunction with the D.C. Jazz Festival and on the prestigious Kennedy Center Millennium Stage. Touching the hearts of the community with their heartwarming testimony, DuPont Brass has been featured on WTOP's “Live at Five” twice and featured in the Washington Post Newspaper five times. Being trained in both classical and contemporary music, the young group has developed a sound that mixes varied genres of music, including jazz, hip-hop, and R&B. Overall, the mission of DuPont Brass is to uplift the spirits of people with their music, not just in the DMV area, but across the world.

Kontrolled Khaos
DMV based group Kontrolled Khaos is a powerhouse super-group made up of 11 prominent members and many other musician collaborators. Kontrolled Khaos has been a group for one year being established January 23rd, 2017. Lead by drummer/bandleader “Jonathan Footz Livas”, the group has already made significant impacts within the community. One being known for their unique genre of "Garage Soul". Another being that they have switched the paradigm at legendary D.C. venue “Takoma Station” every third Wednesday bridging the gap of drawing crowds young and old. In the midst of their incredible journey they also caught the attention of celebrity rapper “Lightshow” who recently collaborated with the group at the Fillmore Silver Spring with the show being sold out. The group also will be joining him at well renowned Broccoli City Fest this year this coming April. They also have a project entitled “Let Love” on the way. Here are some clips of them in action.
